Privacy Policy
FreePBX Backup is a privately operated utility intended for backing up a telephone system to a Google Drive account authorized by its owner. It is not available for general public use.
Purpose and Google Drive access
The utility requests Google Drive file access in order to create, list, retrieve, and manage files it creates or is explicitly authorized to access. It does not require access to unrelated Google Drive documents, email, contacts, or calendars.
Data processed
Backup archives may contain telephone-system configuration, audio recordings, voicemail, call records, and other data necessary for recovery. The intended setup encrypts backup archives before transferring them to Google Drive. Access to the encryption key is managed separately from Google Drive.
Use and disclosure
Google Drive data accessed by this utility is used only for backup, recovery, integrity checking, and related administration. Data is not sold, used for advertising, or disclosed to third parties by this utility, except as necessary to store backup files with the Google Drive service or comply with applicable law.
Authorization and retention
The Google account owner may revoke the utility's access through their Google Account settings. Backup retention and deletion are managed by the account owner. Revoking application access does not automatically delete backup files already stored in Google Drive.
Security
The intended deployment uses encrypted backup files, restricted access to authorization credentials, and controlled administrator access. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
